Robert Ritchiesse is known for his expertise in playing the grand guitar (an 11-string guitar) and for his appreciation of Allan Holdsworth's sound and guitar technique, particularly his legato playing style.

Ritchiesse is always exploring new ways to challenge himself and expand his perspective in his guitar playing and sound. Recently, he discovered the appeal of playing the guitar with a smaller setup and with a clean sound, instead of his usual signature “Nostromo" sound. This change allowed him to focus on the simplicity of playing the guitar and the beauty that comes with it.

This led to the creation of his album "Gautigoths," which showcases the complexity and vulnerability of just one guitar throughout the entire album.

The songs were inspired by Scandinavia, incorporating elements of the region's history and important places and sagas.

This new sensation and excitement brought a fresh perspective to Robert's music.
